Environment - Kering launches the “Regenerative Fund for Nature”

The American Apparel & Footwear Association submitted comments to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) today regarding secondary trademark infringement liability in the e-commerce setting. Given the staggering and simultaneous growth in the share of sales by e-commerce, online sales of fake products are a major contributor to the observed growth in total counterfeit sales. These comments call for legislation to hold online platforms liable for counterfeit goods sold on their sites.



The Regenerative Fund for Nature is to provide grants to farmers, NGOs and key stakeholders who are on the frontlines of developing and scaling agricultural change on the ground. The first round of funding is open to granting applications. In launching the Regenerative Fund for Nature, Kering and Conservation International said they aim “to help finance farmers transition from current agricultural practices, which have high impacts on climate and nature, towards more regenerative practices that restore nature and mitigate climate change”.
