5 November 2025
APLF ASEAN will make its Vietnam debut from 13–15 November 2025 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Ho Chi Minh City, bringing the world’s leather and fashion materials community to one of Asia’s fastest-growing manufacturing hubs.
As the organiser behind the world’s leading leather and materials trade fairs — APLF (Hong Kong), ACLE (Shanghai), and APLF ASEAN (Bangkok) — APLF is expanding its global network into Vietnam for the first time.
This landmark debut reinforces APLF’s role in connecting international suppliers with Southeast Asia’s manufacturing ecosystem, where footwear, bags, fashion accessories, furniture, and automotive production drive the region’s export growth.
The Exhibition — A Global Showcase of Leather and Materials
APLF ASEAN Vietnam 2025 will host an international line-up of suppliers from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa, representing every link of the supply chain from raw hides to finished leathers.
The Americas: Brazil and Mexico
From Latin America, JBS Couros (Brazil) headlines with premium finished leathers for furniture, automotive, and footwear applications.
Joining them are Alfamex and Lefarc from Mexico, both recognised for their suede used by global brands.
Europe: Spain, Italy, and France
Europe’s representation includes Spain’s Combalia, Curtidos Lancina, Dercosa, Inpelsa, La Doma, Miret, and Scavini; Italy’s Wipelli and Conceria Tre Emme; and France’s Federation Française des Cuirs et Peaux (FFCP) leading the French Pavilion with Nick Winters, Bigard, Covico, Les Cuirs de l’Ouest, SVA Jean Rozé, SOCOPA, and Fortain.

Knowledge Sharing & Technical Seminars
On 13 November 2025 CTC will present “PFAS Global Trends, New Regulations and Solutions.”
The session will focus on the rising global attention to PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances) — a group of synthetic chemicals widely used for their water, oil, and stain-resistant properties in textiles, coatings, and leather finishing. With increasing restrictions in Europe and the United States due to environmental and health concerns, this seminar will help manufacturers and brands understand upcoming regulatory changes and explore practical solutions for PFAS-free production and sustainable material innovation.
The following morning, on 14 November 2025 (9:30 AM – 12:00 PM), the Leather & Shoes Research Institute will lead a comprehensive session on “Circular Economy & Global Recycling Standards of Vietnam’s Leather and Footwear Industry,” sharing best practices and new standards that support sustainable transformation across the sector.
Education Programme — The Next Leather Fashion Designers
Running alongside the exhibition, the Next Leather Fashion Designers Programme continues APLF’s commitment to nurturing new talent in the fashion and leather industries.
The programme features the “Understanding Leather” seminar by Simona Tanning, who also sponsors a material donation project and an 8-day tannery visit course for Vietnamese universities — Hoa Sen University, HUTECH University, and Ton Duc Thang University — supporting hands-on student learning.
Twelve finalists from these institutions will showcase their sketches of original bag designs during the Design-a-Bag Vietnam Talent Edition. The winner will be invited to APLF Hong Kong 2026 to gain exposure at an international trade fair and connect with global brands and manufacturers.
This initiative bridges education, craftsmanship, and sustainability, connecting young Vietnamese designers with the global creative and manufacturing community.
