Luxury group Kering has opened a new group headquarters for Japan in the Omotesando district of Tokyo, reports Leatherbiz
A number of its brands, including Gucci and Saint Laurent, already have stores there. Alexander McQueen relocated to Omotesando in September. Balenciaga will open one the largest stores it has anywhere in the world in the same part of the Japanese capital in November and, in 2021, Bottega Veneta will open a new flagship on the third floor of the new Kering headquarters there.
Four floors are devoted to office space, with the sixth floor of the building set aside for events and a rooftop terrace on the seventh floor.
“This unique building is a place for creativity,” said chief executive, François-Henri Pinault. “We hope not only to welcome our visitors, but also to create a spirit of inspiration, audacity and innovation, and to showcase both our vision and our expertise.”
