The last few years have been fertile for the appearance of new business that has broken previously established models. In an attempt to explain the success of these activities and innovative businesses, one word has stood out as a summary of that which has guided recent revolutions in products and services: disruption.
And it's that very same word that will set the tone of the 2017 CSCB Sustainability Forum, which takes place August 10th at Feevale University in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, driven by the theme: Disruptive Businesses for a Disruptive World.
The event kicks off at 1:30 p.m., after the National Meeting of Leather Industry Chemists and Technicians from ABQTIC, which will be held in the morning. Gold Sponsor: Stahl. Organizer: Centre for the Brazilian Tanning Industry (CICB).
Disruptive businesses have the power to change the market in which they're inserted. They're able to have the support of technology for their growth but, as a priority, must propose improvements and transformation in products and services. Rupture and breaking away from antique concepts are at the base of this new proposal.
"At the Forum, we want to present cases from the industry of innovative processes, with results that have already been consolidated, and also how these examples can be positive for other businesses to grow in their own development of social, economic, and environmental activities", says executive president of CICB José Fernando Bello.
Speakers and panelists with connections in fashion, tech, certifications, livestock, and social environment have been confirmed for the event. Complete scheduling will be released soon.
