General Manager for Europe named by Puma

Sports company Puma has appointed Javier Ortega as its new general manager for Europe. He will take up the role on September 1, writes Footwearbiz.


He succeeds Richard Teyssier, who became Puma’s global brand and marketing director in July.


Mr Ortega has worked at Puma since 2009 and, for the last nine years, has been the company’s general manager for southern Europe. In his new role, he work to strengthen Puma’s position with retailers across Europe.


A former senior finance executive for Puma in Spain, Esteve Planas, will take up the role of general manager in southern Europe.
