Leather chemicals manufacturer Zschimmer & Schwarz will highlight a number of products at the All China Leather Exhibition in Shangai (August 29-31), including its Provol LX fatliquor, which the company says is suitable for use in the production of upholstery leather.
In the build-up to the event, Zschimmer & Schwarz said Provol LX is especially suited to automotive leathers that require “outstanding fogging behaviour”, good heat and light fastness and “an extremely high level of softness”.
In addition, the company said the product’s “highly concentrated composition” and guarantee of good penetration and fixation into leather makes it economic to use.
Also on display will be Prinol Z8, a polymer-based fatliquoring agent with good electrolyte stability and a high level of softness. It has been specifically developed as an alternative to sulfited fish oil and is suited for the fatliquoring of automotive leather in the pickle, chrome-tanning and retanning processes.
