Organised by the Italian Leather Chemists and Technologists Association (AICC), there are two seminar sessions taking place January 13-14 that will focus on the complex topic of biocides in leather processing.
Titled "Biocides: regulations and future aspects", the events will provide an overview of the micro-organisms and their correlation with leather processes, a guidance for the control of microorganisms, as well as discuss the regulation on the use of biocides, their risks and restrictions.
Speakers at the seminars include Elton Hurlow from U.S. based biocide specialists, Buckman. Hurlow is also the current chairman of the IULTCS (the International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies), Communication Commission and former IULTCS President.
The seminars will take place in two of the major Italian tannery areas:
- Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Poteco, Santa Croce
- Friday, January 13, 2017 at ITIS G. Galilei, Arzignano
