See Through Shoes
Jasmine Smith | 13 April 2018

Clear Shoes - as with most trends, this one isn’t new.

Transparent shoes have been a solid part of pole-dancing and an undeniably iconic working girls choice for decades.  This familiar arena however, has recently shifted to now include the sidewalks paced by the soles of Style Mavericks and Trend Setters… The most famous of which are the Kardashians, who even went so far as to launch their own line of see-through booties.

With the stigma-of-old removed and modern transparency high on this list of must-haves, this is a trend that has been said to come with longevity.  Just look at Chanel or Balmain - both fashion houses are heavily involved in the trend.

Now as a style of the past that was worn in presumptuous arena’s, the see-through shoe has been adapted to suit a more modern, and pavement trotting (as opposed to pole turning) clientele.

The differences lay in the shape and heel.

You will find that the heel of transparent boots this season are wider and more sturdier, lower to the ground and designed for all day use, not occasional wear.

There is also an elegance to see-through shoes now days.  Pumps can be seen with subtle side panels and single-sole heels for example - details that create a barely-there effect.

And colour, although not as readily embraced by the mainstream, colour-tinged perspex is setting an incredible air to this style.  Oscar de la Renta showed us this the way the incredibly refined label opted to show off the sides of their models feet in bronzed gold pointy-toe.

So!  Perfect that pedicure - and step out with your nearly naked tootsies taking charge of your attire!
